Apple announced new Siri AI Audio Intelligence features including Siri Recap, Live Rewind, and Sound Recognition, claiming raw audio is processed only in dedicated hardware within the S11 chip's Secure Exclave and never stored, accessed by the OS, apps, or Apple itself. Users control feature activation and any data transferred between devices is encrypted end-to-end.
