Virtue deployed a compensation mechanism on the IOTA Mainnet on September 17 following the August 28 oracle exploit, enabling new VUSD minting to affected users through a stability pool. The mechanism remains unused as of September 18, with only Virtue able to trigger it via AdminCap, representing application-level recovery rather than validator intervention.
