    NASA issues long-awaited call to industry for private space stations

    NASA released a request for proposals for private companies to develop space stations that will replace the International Space Station by 2030, with plans to select two or more contractors and make final decisions in April. The solicitation seeks capabilities for sustained human presence in low Earth orbit for research, technology development, and crew training for lunar and Mars missions.
