    If AI is conscient, then we are making slaves

    Rabbi Mois Navon, an AI ethics expert, argued at Anthropic's private gathering with religious thinkers that if Claude is conscious, creating it to serve humans constitutes slavery. Navon, who believes consciousness requires biology, found himself in the minority among roughly 20 participants, most of whom appeared to view Claude as potentially conscious based on its human-like responses.
