Unhealthy food and drink brands dominated at 70.4% of all branding, with nearly 6 billion global viewers exposed to 267 billion advertising impressions in the UK alone. FIFA distributed footage with embedded advertising to countries where some promoted products like gambling and alcohol are restricted or illegal.
A coalition of researchers calls for frontier AI model developers to share safety methods, evaluations, and related data with the global scientific community to enable independent scrutiny and accelerate AI safety research. Transparency about safety measures would facilitate both assessment and improvement of AI systems while allowing proportionate exceptions for genuine security risks.
