Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, which is investing in Trump's proposed U.S. refinery project, has become the largest buyer of Venezuelan crude outside the U.S., purchasing 76% of India's Venezuelan oil imports in September. The Jamnagar refinery is uniquely equipped to process Venezuela's heavy crude grades.
