A developer built a green thread runtime in Rust to understand systems programming, implementing user-space threads managed by the runtime instead of the OS kernel. Green threads require managing stacks and CPU registers; the project uses 32 KiB stacks allocated via mmap with guard pages to prevent stack overflow into other memory.
NVIDIA introduced OpenShell, an open secure runtime platform that governs autonomous agent execution through sandboxing, policy enforcement, and kernel-level monitoring. The system isolates agents, blocks unsafe operations, audits all access decisions, and works across any model or deployment environment.
Nine is a self-hosted AI agent runtime distributed as a single Go binary that integrates local or hosted language models, persistent SQLite storage, a terminal UI and REST API, and tools from plugins, MCP servers and sandboxed JavaScript/WebAssembly. It runs on Docker, Linux and macOS, executing autonomous agent loops that plan work, call tools and persist data across sessions.
DepthFirst is an AI-native security platform that continuously monitors code, dependencies, infrastructure, and live environments for vulnerabilities. It uses automated security analysis, dependency scanning, and runtime exploitation testing to identify and validate genuinely exploitable security issues across applications.
