Nintendo Switch 2 Docked VRR Leapfrogs PS5, but the Catch Falls Squarely on Game Developers

Nintendo Switch 2 received docked VRR support 16 months after launch, matching Xbox Series X|S and surpassing PS5's capabilities with support for 40-60 FPS modes. However, existing games require patches to utilize the feature, with only Welcome Tour currently supporting it. The implementation forces VRR on at all times when enabled, though developers are expected to adopt it for future titles.
