Google has acquired talent from San Francisco startup Mechanize Inc, including co-founder Tamay Besiroglu who now works at DeepMind. Over a dozen former Mechanize employees joined Google, primarily focusing on midtraining efforts for AI chatbots. Mechanize's technology helps improve AI models at coding, an area where Google has struggled.
