Alan Turing delivered a lecture titled 'Intelligent Machinery, a Heretical Theory' to the '51 Society' at Manchester around 1951. Two versions of the lecture survive: a typescript numbered 1-10 and a carbon typescript numbered 96-101. The archival material consists of 16 sheets of paper preserved by the A.M. Turing Trust.
