Microsoft began disabling Exchange Web Services (EWS) by default in Exchange Online today, disrupting Apple Mail and Calendar syncing for Mac users with Microsoft 365 accounts. Apple is working to migrate its apps to Microsoft Graph API in a future macOS update, but the transition hasn't yet arrived. Microsoft plans to permanently shut down EWS on April 1, 2027, though IT administrators can currently keep it enabled or users can switch to Microsoft Outlook.
