General Motors unveiled two new V8 engines for its 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups: a 5.7-liter L76 producing 402 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque, and a 6.6-liter L78 producing 481 hp and 501 lb-ft of torque. The smaller 5.7-liter offers better towing capacity at up to 13,700 pounds, while the larger 6.6-liter is targeted at performance-focused buyers.
