China has unveiled an AI-powered robot designed to assist wheat breeders by using advanced imaging and autonomous judgment to identify superior crop strains, reducing manual labor and subjectivity. Developed by researchers at Shandong Agricultural University, the robot integrates breeder experience into its training model and has successfully performed field trials. The team plans to commercialize the technology with a biotech partner as part of China's broader push to advance agricultural technology and food security.
