Toys 'R' Us is opening 120 new standalone stores across the U.S. this holiday season, expanding from 40 to 160 locations nearly a decade after filing for bankruptcy. The expansion is part of the company's broader comeback strategy following its 2021 acquisition by WHP Global, which has also included shop-in-shop locations at Macy's and airports.
