Final Fantasy VII Revelation will feature a fully planetary open world and armor with three linked materia slots, according to director Naoki Hamaguchi in an exclusive interview at gamescom 2026. The game launches April 8, 2027, and will not lock players out of side content based on story progression, allowing flexible quest completion.
