Carbon is an open-source ERP/MRP/MES/QMS system designed for defense and aerospace manufacturers requiring CMMC compliance. It runs on PostgreSQL within customer-controlled infrastructure—on-premise, in VPCs, or air-gapped—keeping sensitive production data and controlled unclassified information off third-party clouds. The Community edition is free under AGPL-3.0; Enterprise features and air-gapped deployments require commercial licensing.
