A software implementation of the Turing-Welchlan Bombe cryptanalytic machine that breaks Enigma ciphers by using Jev, a probabilistic AI model, to make judgement calls on probable phrases and plaintext candidates. The system rebuilds Bletchley Park's pipeline in code, includes a verified Enigma simulator with crib dragging and diagonal board, and demonstrates strong performance (AUC 0.9999) distinguishing correct decryptions from incorrect ones, outperforming traditional n-gram and XGBoost judges under distribution shift.
