During SpaceX's Starship launch on Monday, viewers spotted a mysterious streak of pale blue light with a white tip on the livestream, sparking UFO speculation on social media. An engineer suggested it was likely gas from the Super Heavy booster's engines during separation and return burn, though the explanation did little to quiet alien theories. The uncrewed Starship successfully reached orbit despite an engine shutdown, but exploded during splashdown.
