God told them to sell crypto. Their investors lost everything

Eli and Kaitlyn Regalado, who claimed God directed them to launch INDXcoin, convinced over 500 investors to hand over more than $3 million before the cryptocurrency project collapsed and investors lost their money. The case highlights growing crypto fraud, with scammers collecting at least $14 billion worldwide in 2025, partly because crypto investments are poorly understood and digital coins are easy to create.
