Chinese start-up Photon Matrix Lab is shipping its laser-based mosquito killer device this month after raising $2.8 million on crowdfunding platforms. The device uses lidar detection and infrared or blue lasers to eliminate mosquitoes while avoiding humans and animals, with prices ranging from $988 to $1,088 and initial monthly production of 3,000–5,000 units.
