AMBA is a free, open standard for connecting functional blocks in system-on-chip designs, used in billions of devices for nearly three decades. AMBA 5 introduces new protocols including CHI architecture for coherent processors, and is being extended to support chiplet-to-chiplet communication.
TeraPHY is an optical I/O chiplet that delivers 8 Tbps bi-directional bandwidth with 10ns latency for AI systems, using silicon photonics and standard CMOS manufacturing. It offers 5x–10x higher bandwidth and 10x lower latency than traditional copper interconnects while consuming 4x–8x less power, enabling efficient GPU-to-GPU communication across distances from millimeters to kilometers.
