A .NET Lambda function experiencing 7-second cold starts was optimized by increasing memory allocation from 512 MB to 1,769 MB, which provides a full vCPU and resulted in ~3.2x faster performance. While this approach wastes memory resources, the shorter execution time makes it more cost-effective overall.
