IBM announced it has successfully connected and cooled two modular cryogenic systems to below 15 millikelvin, a key milestone toward delivering IBM Quantum Starling in 2029, expected to be the world's first fault-tolerant quantum computer. The new architecture uses L-coupler technology to link quantum processors and enable scaling to hundreds of quantum chips capable of solving large-scale problems.
