OpenBSD's doas and sudo use timestamp files to avoid repeated password entry. A security vulnerability allowed timestamp file reuse on Linux by matching PPID and TTY, which was fixed by including the session leader's start time in the timestamp mechanism, implemented in both doas and sudo 1.8.22.
