The active wing system deploys in under 3 seconds, adjusts its angle in milliseconds, and includes safety mechanisms to retract upon impact or predicted rear collisions. The patent filing, published in September 2025, precedes Tesla's scheduled October 1 Roadster unveiling in Texas.
