Most European data centers refuse to disclose their water and electricity consumption despite EU regulations requiring transparency. A study found that fewer than a quarter of large Dutch data centers publish environmental impact data, while data center electricity use in the Netherlands has doubled in five years and is projected to consume 10-15% of the country's power by 2030.
