This article traces the mythological legacy of Noods, a Romano-British-Celtic god of hunting and rivers worshipped near the Welsh-English border from 100–400 AD. Scholars connected him to the Irish god-hero Nuada of the Silver Arm, the Welsh Lludd, and eventually the legendary King Lud, founder of London in Geoffrey of Monmouth's reconceptualization of Celtic deities as ancient British kings.
