Ignis is a compatibility shim enabling Obsidian to run in web browsers through an Electron API implementation, allowing remote access to locally-stored vaults without VNC. Deployed via Docker, it supports core Obsidian features, community plugins, multi-vault management, and live sync across tabs, though users must add authentication and HTTPS before exposing instances remotely.
