Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey,' the first film shot entirely on Imax 70mm cameras, is limited to just 25 U.S. theaters due to a 50-year manufacturing gap in film projectors. Imax CEO Richard Gelfond explained that new projectors cannot be practically built because original design files lack complete manufacturing blueprints and specialized parts no longer exist, though the company managed to refurbish projectors for 41 worldwide locations.
