Boris Sakač, a Croatian IT pioneer who developed computer systems for the Olympic Games for nearly three decades, has died at age 82 in Zagreb. His innovations in sports IT began with the 1979 Mediterranean Games in Split and were used at every Olympics from Sarajevo 1984 through Sochi 2014, earning him recognition as one of the most prominent Croatians in Olympic Games history.
