Analysis of US public WiFi data shows Walmart dominates device connections in 16 states, while regional chains lead elsewhere. Hotels are the most common venue type by WiFi connections across 44 states. IPinfo's Places dataset matched over 124,000 US venues to their IP addresses, enabling building-level geolocation and revealing how brand presence varies dramatically by geography and venue type.
