Spanish police arrested a 16-year-old Romanian suspected of operating the KillSec ransomware group, with additional arrests across Europe as part of Operation KillSwitch. Law enforcement seized the group's servers, leak site, and 110 terabytes of stolen data, identifying around 500 successful attacks from approximately 1,000 worldwide. The group, active since 2024, used double extortion tactics and AI to target organizations globally, with cryptocurrency proceeds now under investigation.
