The LaserActive is a hybrid LaserDisc player and video game console released by Pioneer in 1993, combining movies, music, and games through optional expansion modules called PACs. The system supported exclusive LD-ROM game discs and could play content from Sega Genesis and PC Engine platforms, though it was discontinued in 1996 with approximately 10,000 units sold.
