Avianca Flight 42 from Medellín to New York City diverted to Miami International Airport due to severe turbulence, injuring eight to nine people. The flight landed safely around 3:30 a.m. Friday, and most injured were treated and discharged from Miami hospitals. The FAA will investigate the incident.
