    Kalshi prediction markets show a 75% probability that more than 5,100 data centers will be planned or operating by 2027, up from 60% two weeks prior. Despite growing community backlash over utility costs and water consumption, tech companies continue expanding data center projects in states like Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, with Virginia currently leading at over 670 facilities.
