A artist built a fully functioning 30-minute pendulum clock from trash materials during a residency in Glashütte, Saxony, drawing inspiration from ancestors who were Swiss watchmakers. The clock displays seconds and minutes, strikes a gong at each hour, and inspired the creator to develop a new time scale called GTC.
