Nick Park's 1989 stop-motion short A Grand Day Out, premiered at the Bristol Animation Festival, launched Wallace and Gromit into cultural prominence despite Park completing roughly 90% of the animation himself. The film, which Park began as a student graduation project in 1982, earned a BAFTA and introduced the distinctive character designs and style that would define Park's career and reshape Aardman's identity.
Pearl Abyss executive Lybee Park attributed Crimson Desert's lower-than-expected Metacritic score of 77 to critics not receiving the optimal game build and having insufficient time to explore the open world's hidden details and unique features. Since March's release, the studio has continued improving the game with patches and is developing a Switch 2 version planned for the first half of next year.
