A TypeScript-to-native compiler called Perry was tested running a Hono web framework application. Perry's compiled binary achieved 2,795 requests per second on Hono endpoints compared to Node's baseline, with higher latency (51-62ms vs 2-3ms) and memory usage (136-163 MiB vs 112-114 MiB), though it passed functional correctness checks.
