NASA selected the PRIMA mission, the first in its new Probe Explorers class, to advance into Phase B development. The far-infrared observatory with a 1.8-meter telescope will survey the universe to study planetary formation, stars, black holes, and cosmic evolution, launching in 2033 if confirmed.
