Nvidia reportedly halts GeForce RTX 5090 production in favor of data center GPUs

Nvidia has reportedly halted production of GB202 graphics processors for consumer GeForce RTX 5090 cards to prioritize higher-margin data center and professional graphics cards, according to leaked factory notices. The unconfirmed move would allow Nvidia to redirect limited semiconductor supply toward more lucrative AI and professional visualization products while maintaining its gaming market position with the RTX 5080.
