Researchers developed a smart contact lens that measures serotonin in tears to provide an objective, noninvasive method for assessing stress levels. The graphene-based lens can detect extremely low serotonin concentrations and withstand repeated deformation, with tests showing serotonin levels decrease under stress and the device causes no eye irritation.
