Candela City, a SuperTuxKart track introduced in 2017, is being significantly redesigned for SuperTuxKart Evolution to improve gameplay and visuals. The original track, inspired by Paris, Venice, Lyon, and Amsterdam, had design shortcomings including chaotic curves and limited comebacks; the rework includes a new park section with multiple curves to enhance fun and visual variety.
Neural Drive is a world model game where a 131M-parameter latent diffusion model generates video frames in real-time based on player input, creating the illusion of driving a kart on a track. Trained on SuperTxKart with ground-truth action labels, the model maintains coherence far longer than typical video models. The weights are quantized to 4/8-bit to fit in 86 MB, enabling instant local gameplay on Apple Silicon without requiring separate downloads or servers.
