PlanetScale released TIN, a full-text search extension for Postgres that initially showed 8x performance improvements over ParadeDB. ParadeDB responded with optimization work and closed the performance gap through several optimization passes unrelated to TIN's claimed architectural advantage of using Postgres ctid fields as document identifiers.
