Maplibre-gl-lanes v1.0.0 is a new MapLibre GL JS plugin that improves the rendering of parallel-line trail maps by dynamically calculating and drawing routes as the map zooms, inspired by transit-style visualization and academic research on optimized line ordering. The plugin replaces a previous line-offset approach that struggled with complex intersections and is now live in production use on trailmaps.app.
