Letter is a PostgreSQL extension implementing relationship-based access control (ReBAC) where permissions follow row relationships rather than static table grants. Write enforcement uses triggers; read enforcement operates transparently via a planner hook. The first beta supports membership rules, conditional access, and built-in roles on PostgreSQL 16 and 17.
