A VFS extension enables SQLite to support concurrent writes from multiple threads and processes by using private WALs and snapshot isolation, achieving 5.7x throughput improvement with 16 threads (49,277 vs 8,630 tx/s) while keeping the database file format unchanged and requiring no schema modifications.
