However, existing games require patches to utilize the feature, with only Welcome Tour currently supporting it. The implementation forces VRR on at all times when enabled, though developers are expected to adopt it for future titles.

    Nintendo Switch 2 version 23.0.0 adds Variable Refresh Rate support for docked play to reduce screen tearing and stuttering, along with Complete Data Transfer between consoles and background music in the Mii editor.
