Scammers created fake YouTube tutorials teaching users to build AI crypto trading bots using Claude, but the deployed smart contracts were actually wallet drainers. Over 224 victims lost approximately 274.6 ETH (~$517,000) by following the instructions and funding the malicious contracts themselves, with some scammers even requesting additional deposits to "fix" the bot.
