OpenAI hired three former Patreon executives—cofounder Sam Yam, product head Drew Rowny, and engineering head Shannon Ma—to lead its Creator Product strategy. The hires suggest OpenAI is entering the creator monetization space, with Yam teasing new creator tools to be announced at OpenAI DevDay on September 29th.
