1. the lucky ones 2. insiders / cabals 3. people shilling a coin while dumping on their followers through side wallets 4. people posting every green pnl but going silent on the losses
there is nothing wrong with getting lucky. a lucky win is still a win. these group of traders are fine.
but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th group is really sus types of memecoin traders worth being cautious about.
a few days ago i saw some accounts that barely talk about memecoins suddenly posting big wins.
i was like “wait, fr?” so i checked their wallet activity on pump fun.
overall, their whole portfolio is in red but they never shared those thing on timeline.
and that’s what gets people. someone who’s never touched memecoins sees a few huge wins on TL and starts thinking “why am i missing out?”
meanwhile, they have no idea how much that person lost before the win, whether they had an inside edge, or whether they’re selling while telling everyone else to buy.
not saying every profitable trader is shady. just don’t confuse the pnl someone chooses to post with their actual track record.
